The Springfield/South County Youth Club is a volunteer organization supported by a small paid staff. The governing body of the Club is its Board of Directors of which there are 15 elected to three-year terms on a staggered class rotation of 5 directors elected each year. The monthly Board of Director’s meeting is held the second Thursday of each month at 7:30pm at the SYC warehouse. The Annual Membership meeting is held the second Thursday each May.
The staff at the Vince Smith Warehouse at 7075 Newington Road consists of our Office Manager Carolyn Brennan, Procurement Specialist Nancy Cannon , Database Administrator Babette Jensen. Each sport has a sport committee, which makes decisions on the day to day operations of that sport. The individual sports committees are responsible to the SYC Board of Directors.
